About Darkvision and Kirk Schmidt

Darkvision Analytics and Consulting was started in 2016 as a firm to help nonprofits use KPIs to increase their fundraising and has provided fundraising, systems, and analytics consulting for nonprofits in that time.

The name Darkvision is based on a Dungeons and Dragons spell that allows a person to see in the dark. With a degree in Mathematics, Kirk has helped many people use analytics to see what lies beneath the data and how it can be used to improve fundraising.

Kirk has over 20 years of experience in nonprofits, including sitting on many Boards, including as chair and treasurer, as well as experience managing teams and building fundraising capacity in Annual Giving / Direct Response, Monthly / Recurring Giving, Mid-level Giving, Major Giving, Legacy Giving, Online and Social Giving, Data and Analytics, Prospect Research, Nonprofit Merchandising, Donations Processing, Stewardship and Donor Relations, Volunteer Management, and IT.
